A asked:

Hi, I was just wondering if I started the course in the UK, whether I am able to complete it in Australia? Thank you

Answer:

Hi, and thank you for your enquiry. I've searched for available centres and there does not appear to be any currently available in Australia. However, exams are in an online format and perhaps, when in Australia, you could discuss with a local training centre the possibility of them contacting AAT to become an exam centre. I'm sorry I cannot provide a more positive reply. Kind regards Brian

Beki asked:

I know nothing about accounting, would this course be ok for a complete novice?

Answer:

Hi Beki, and thank you for your course enquiry. The Level 2 AAT courses assume that you have no prior knowledge or experience bookkeeping, where you'd be guided through the syllabus, starting with the basic bookkeeping & accounting concepts. If you have any further questions, please get in touch again. Kind regards Brian

PAUL asked:

So: £545 course fee, £ 92 AAT M'ship, £43 AAT +5 exams at min. cost of £60, £300 so Total £980? Whats the fastest time this can be completed in ?

Answer:

HI Paul, thank you for your question. As the courses are provided via distance learning / home study, you are in control of your pace of study. We estimate you'll need around 150hrs of study for Level 2, so if you can study 10hrs per week, you should complete in about 4 months. I hope this helps :-). Kind regards Brian

Our training contimues as normal. If you have further question, please get in touch again. Kind regards Brian McVean

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
